Research priorities

Systematic examination of the apotropaeic and exorcistic activities within
the Chinese religions between the Qin and the Jin Dynasties (249 BC-AD 316),
with special reference to their inclusion into early "religious" Daoism.
Projects and Cooperation

Electronic input of Chinese texts (mainly from the Daozang collection) into
computer, with subsequent compilation of critical editions and complete
concordances (together with Thomas Gaiser, University of Tuebingen).
